FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What do you buy?

We are very strict about quality. For your own satisfaction, we only purchase items that meet our selection criteria .

We do not accept low-quality clothing and will select items very carefully. Please be as selective as possible when choosing the clothing you wish to sell.

We require a minimum of 20 items that meet our selection criteria. You can of course send more, as long as they meet our selection criteria. If you have less than 20 items, please contact us.

What is the procedure for starting the sales process?

Our sales process is designed to be as simple as possible. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Make sure that the clothing meets our selection criteria;
  2. Fill in the respective form (sent by post or dropped off at Ericeira) which is located further down on this page with your details;
  3. If you wish to have your clothes sent to us by post, we will send you a shipping label* by email (for packages up to 5 kg) which you must print and stick on your package;
  4. The package must be delivered to a CTT pickup point or post office. Find the nearest CTT point to you here .
  5. If you choose drop off at our headquarters, please wait for our email confirmation before proceeding with delivery.

*The shipping costs (€4.50) will be subsequently deducted from your quote.

Should I send you pictures of the clothes?

There is no need to send us photos, as the items sent will have to be inspected individually.

Once we receive your clothes, they will be evaluated according to our selection criteria.

How can I get the clothes delivered to you?

Via courrier

We work with CTT to get your clothes delivered in Ericeira. Shipping costs €4.50 for packages up to 5kg* for shipments from mainland Portugal, and the order must be delivered to a CTT pickup point :

If the package exceeds 5kg, the following amounts will be charged according to the weight:

Between 5kg and 10kg: €2

Between 10kg and 15kg: €4

* Amount to be deducted from the quote for your clothes by Petit Fox

Make sure that the clothing sent is properly packed in a cardboard box before shipping.

To send your clothes by post, please fill out the form on this page. You must wait to receive the shipping slip via email, which you must attach to your box.

Dropoff

You can drop off your clothes directly at Organic Way, our drop-off point in Ericeira, located near the municipal market (Rua do Mercado, 20, Ericeira) from Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 8pm, by prior appointment.

Before dropping off your clothes, please fill out the form on this page.

We will send you a label that you must print and stick on your packaging. Please make sure the clothes are properly packaged, so that no item is lost or damaged in the process.

What happens after I deliver my clothes?

Your clothes will be carefully inspected so that we can assign a price to each item.

The proposal will be sent to you by email within 2 weeks of the clothes' drop off date.

How much will I get?

The price quote applies to the entire box. It varies from box to box, as it depends on the style, original price, brand, quality, quantity and category of each item.

If items are in high demand or are from a high-quality brand, we’ll pay more for them. We’ll also pay more for items that are new and still have their tags on, as long as they meet our selection criteria.

We also take into account the work involved in selecting, refreshing, styling, photographing and storing clothes, as well as the work involved in attracting and serving our customers. On average, you will receive between 30% and 50% of our sales price.

It all adds up! Remember, unlike consignment stores, we buy all your items from you right away - you don't have to wait for your items to sell to get your money.

We value those who, in addition to selling, also aim to buy clothes for their children at Petit Fox. Therefore, payment for clothes is made exclusively through store credit.

After all, our mission is to stimulate the circular economy, encouraging the reuse of clothes and contributing to a reduction in textile waste.

Can I decline the quote?

Yes, you are completely free to decline our quote.

If you do not accept our quote and wish to get all your clothes back, a fee of €10 will be applied for each 5kg package to cover shipping and logistics costs. Alternatively, you can collect them directly from our headquarters in Ericeira, paying only the initial shipping and logistics costs of the order to Petit Fox in the amount of €5.*

*Applicable only in cases where the clothes were initially sent to us by post.

Please note that all clothing not collected from Petit Fox within 10 days will automatically be sent for donation.

When will payment be made?

We will do everything we can to process the evaluation of your garments as quickly as possible. Once your package is dropped off, you will receive your quote within 2 weeks.

Your store credit will be associated with your email and will be available for use within 24 hours of accepting the proposal.

To use your store credit, simply log in to our online store. At checkout, you can choose to use your store credit as a payment method.

How can I use my store credit?

I carefully chose the items I sent. Why didn't you keep them all?

Our goal is to buy every item you send us, believe us. However, in order to guarantee the quality of the products sold in our online store, each item must go through a strict evaluation process.

We do not repair any clothing that arrives to us, so any item with stains, yellowing, missing buttons or holes, etc., will be rejected. New items with tags may also be rejected depending on their condition.

If too few items meet our selection criteria, we reserve the right to reject the entire package. You will be charged for shipping costs for returning the package (€9 for a package up to 3kgs, to cover shipping costs in both directions - heavier packages will be charged according to weight).

What happens to rejected items?

Items rejected by Petit Fox may still be used by other children or new-moms. We may donate them to charity on your behalf. If you wish to have the rejected items returned to you, you will be required to pay the shipping costs, which are €5 per package up to 3kg.

Please note that all clothing not collected from Petit Fox within 10 days will automatically be sent for donation.

    No exceptions will be made for clothing that features:

    • stains (including yellow stains and faded colors)
    • overuse
    • tears, holes, punctures
    • lint
    • faded colors
    • shrinkage
    • missing buttons
    • broken fasteners
    • logos with cracked paint
    • damaged sheaths
    • animal hair
    • unpleasant smells
    • homemade clothes
    • counterfeits
    • shoes 0-6 months with rigid soles

    We do not accept clothing from the following brands:

    • Primark
    • Shein
    • Temu
    • Lefties
    • Kiabi
